 Post subject: Has anyone removed the transmission crossmember?

I want to pull my trans crossmember off and POR-15 it because its covered in rust. It looks like I can just put a jack with a block of wood under the t-case and then remove the mount bolts, then the four bolts on each side and lower the crossmember.

That will do t. I suggest putting a jack stand under the trans instead of leaving weight on the jack.
