So just picked the Jeep up from the mechanics. Lift went well but now my engine lights on, Serv 4WD, the ambient temp sensor isn't showing a temp on my dash, and my front passenger blinker is blinking like its on crack. I'm going out on a limb and thinking the temp issue is related to the installation of the new UCAs since you have to remove the battery and temp sensor to install the driver side. My guess is that the sensor isn't connected or only partially connected. Engine code says ambient temp error. Mechanic thinks the front ambient temp sensor is bad (the one right behind the grill).

What do you guys think?

to install the front rivers side they had to partially disconnect the timp (totally integrated module box) lets call it the fuse box. just check the connections there and make sure they are ok. all the wiring harnesses from the kk get in there

I'll check both. It's up on the lift getting an alignment at the moment. I have a strange feeling someone just isn't plugged in all the way.

***UPDATE***

Drove through the city on my way home. The streets aren't exactly smooth. I noticed that every time I started to drive over a patch of bumps or potholes, the Serv 4WD light would go off and on and my turn signals would blink normally.
Got home. Popped the hood and gently lifted the fuse box, gave a good nudge to all the harnesses plugged in. Gently places it back and checked all the fuses to make sure they were still good. Started the engine and voila! No more serv 4wd lights and turn signals act normal. Plugged in my OBD II scanner, cleared the check engine light (which would have cleared itself naturally after some driving and ignition cycles) and started her back up. Ambient temp gauge works on the dash and no more lights. Problem fixed.

:)

Yeah garages don't put crap back together like they should. I've found Twinkie wrappers and other items misplaced.

I'm just glad it was a 5 minute fix and everything's fine. Didn't really feel like having to order a new ambient temp sensor, which wouldn't have fixed the problem anyway.

***Update 2***

Turn signal issue came back. Its a pretty weird issue. When you start the engine and use the right turn signal the relay blinks normally for about 3-4 seconds (although no light comes from the front passenger side light) and then starts blinking rapidly as if there was a bulb out. Driving lights work normally and illuminate when switched on. Hazard lights flash at normal speed, with the exception of the front right bulb which just doesn't illuminate.

I ran my engine reader and it returned DTC P00073 (Ambient Temperature Sensor Circuit High), which was the same error I got originally. I figured maybe the sensor was on the fritz so I just replaced it, No luck. I've swapped a new bulb to be sure, but that did nothing to solve the problem.

At this point, I know that the ambient temperature sensor is directly related to the front right turn signal because it looks like it ties into the same wiring bundle that the front right turn signal relay is connected to. Everything worked fine after I took the battery out and made sure the fusebox harnesses were connected securely, but then it randomly started acting up again after a month or so. I don't think its the turn signal relay because I never touched it when I solved the issue the first time. I'm thinking that its a connection issue with one of the wires, but I'm not entirely sure thats the cause because my temperature readings on my dash are fine. I know that if I can figure out why the circuits running high, I can fix the front right turn signal.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

All the TIPM harnesses (except one) use rotating click locks (little handle and catch) so they won't come loose.
I'd disconnect the battery. Wait ten minutes for the airbag capacitors to discharge, and have another look at the TIPM plugs.
While the plugs are loose, look at the Pins inside to make sure none have been bent or dislodged (ie pushed down), and all the plug locks are OK.
Some of the plugs are hard to get fully seated and locked.

When I 1st installed my lift, I disconnected & removed the TIPM from the car. This caused my odometer to read "error" & the only fix was reflashing it at the dealership. Now I just more it out of the way rather than disconnect it completely.

I'm not sure about the temp sensor but I know the turn signals are wired into a light gray connector on the middle front part of the TIPM

I thought I posted a new update but I guess not. I traced the wire back from the turn signal and temp sensor back to the fuse box and then popped the fuse box out so I could look under it easier. I could feel one the of the harnesses wiggle a bit and figured out that the clasp that holds the harness for the turn signal and temp sensor was busted. So I kinda jammed it in there until it stayed and zip tied it in place. As soon as I started the engine the turn signal worked perfect again.

Glad you found the problem. Now to take it back to the place that did your install and have them fix it! Or at least pay for the part.
Sad to say the shop had to know they broke it. It would have been pretty obvious. :banghead:
