61K on the Jeep. Haven't trouble finding information when the coils are supposed to be changed.
I'm also asking this question because almost every "cold" start the Jeep seems to take a bit to fire up. If it was Winter I'd understand, but it does it no matter the temperature.
They're not too bad of a price if they're due.

That's impressive!
Thanks for the reply. I just want to make sure I'm not slacking on any maintenance items.

Like anything they do get weaker over time. I'm on my third set, others were still good but since I had extras sitting around I just threw them in

Yours are doing double duty! I have 6 on my engine ('08). Maybe that is why you heard 60K? I have always heard that ignition coils should be replaced when they break. The coils on my '01 XJ went to 125K before needing to be replaced (misfires). It had 3 coils for 6 cylinders, like you have.

If you got the 3.7 with 6 coils, change when they fail but use MOPAR coils only, there worth the little extra $$$.If you have the 3 coils and 3 plug wires change the coils when they fail and the wires at least every 60k,best to change the wires every 30k when you change the plugs.

I didn't realize the 08s had 6 coils. I'll change out my wires next time I do my plugs.
