After reading all of the suggestions and recommendations of members of the forum, I installed a OME econo 1.5 inch lift kit on my 2010 KK that I ordered from JBA. It was my understanding that I did not need UCA's with this kit. Now I'm being flooded with e-mails from JBA saying that I need to install their UCA's with this kit. Do I need the UCA's or not? Thanks guys.

It depends on whether you've done anything to add additional lift (clevis, top plates, etc.). If you are using just the OME springs and shocks then you will most likely be fine (you get 2.5 inches of lift with that 1.5 inch lift kit btw.). You may occasionally get spring-uca contact when flexing, which would be eliminated by Al's uca's. However, Al's uca's aren't a necessity until you get above 3 inches of lift, because at that height the Jeep cannot be aligned properly without them.

Exactly what Lauren said. If you just run OME springs (use 927/731s), then you'll be fine and get 2.5" of lift. However, once you start adding to it (top plate, clevis lift, etc) you'll need new UCAs.

Like mentioned above you don't need them until 3-3.25 BUT they are a great upgrade which you'll end up buying sooner or later

Thanks guys. Jeep is completely stock except for for the shocks and springs. Just wanted to level it up and get it a little higher up and it comes out to exactly 2.5 inches. Now if I could just get that rear door lock to work.
