I'm shocked right now. I don't think I've ever seen this kind of mileage before.

I'm using one as well and even with two heavy steel bumpers and full skid plates I'm getting at least 20 mpg highway

This is getting me excited, I just ordered one today. I wonder what you'd get if you ported it out even more.

What's the part number on that? Any specific vehicle with the 4.7?

Keep in mind of my other mods.
Also, this is only my third day of driving it.
This 100 miles you're seeing was all in one trip as well. 80 of those miles were on a 65mph highway, the rest city including traffic and a few full throttle punches.
Stock I was getting 16.5-17, then quickly modded after like 2 months.
Ever since I got A/T tires it dropped to 17 city on a good tank. Highway I was getting 19.
Now, the very first tank with the TB installed I got 20.02mph which is 2 mpg better than usual, nut also 90 percent highway miles.

I'll see if I can get some info on that. Leaving for work soon, though. I'd have to message the member that sold it to me.
Obviously has to be an electronic throttle body. Also, it only fits if you install it upside down.

 I was thinking the same thing. I think member huntb is running the same setup as me. He might have some thoughts about this.

I got an answer. He said it's off a 2008 Grand Cherokee.

Is that hand calculated? Those instant and average mpg #'s are far from being right.

Subscribed. Very exciting preliminary results! I want to know if the gains in mpg continue in the long run. Sometimes our computerized engines learn things and then compensate.

Also Gage, later on if you feel like satisfying my curiosity, you could try the 4.7 throttle body with the stock tune. I wonder how much of the mpg gains are due to the interaction of the 4.7 TB with your Hypertech tuner, and if there are any gains to be had for those of us without Hypertechs.

Is there a noticeable increase or decrease in power with the 4.7 TB?

Thanks for being on the cutting edge of modded KK engine technology! :frankie:

If your looking for a junkyard pull, look for any 2007.5 4.7L engine or later. You can also look for a 2008-2014 Viper.

The 20.02 is hand calculated.
Yes, I'm aware the ScanGauge is reading about 2mpgs too high or so. Gonna recalculate it over the next few tanks.
The ScanGauge is off because last month I mostly didn't fill the tank every time.

This is the only pic I have right now. Is there a certain one you'd like to see?

I plan on PM'ing you in the near future so we can think of some comparisons we can do again with our ScanGauges. I'll try the stock tune setup in the future, but I doubt I'll tolerate it for long lol. I knew it wouldn't be long till I tried out this mod for myself.
Shifting is way smoother. Lots of improvement in picking up speed. It feels like you're constantly going downhill. Very dramatic improvement in driveability. You can feel it in your foot that you're not mashing the gas.
My friend that came with me for those 100 miles says it sounds like it's taking in more air.
