Hey there everyone.

Anyone have any issues with their Seat Heaters before? My passenger side heater seems to be on the fritz; when my Wife hits the button, it turns on - then off again immediately. for probably a couple weeks preceding this new issue, she was complaining that the heater was really hot on one side & nothing on the other.

Haven't really done any digging yet as we just drove to work and were reminded of the issue, just wondering if anyone has any input so I can get an idea what I'm lookin for.

Thanks

I added the MOPAR seat heater kit to mine, but I don't know how to troubleshoot a broken one. Let me know if you need the instructions for taking the seat apart to get at the heating elements. I have a PDF of the instruction manual for my kit that I could email you.

Thanks - yeah, I snagged the PDF installation instructions off of Justforjeeps shortly after posting this. Doesn't look too bad, just.... finicky mostly.

How well did the seat come apart/go back together? I think my biggest fear of the whole thing is not being able to get the seat looking right after taking the upholstery off.

If you have hog ring pliers and wire cutters, the seat upholstery isn't too bad. It would be a real pain without those tools. Also, the instructions don't show where the metal clips are that hold on the plastic molding to the seats. You've got to be careful not to break the plastic because of this. A trim removal tool will help there. Also, there are seat bolts that you'll need to undo that are blocked by the big seatbelt anchor bolt. You'll need a torx bit that is the right size to loosen the seatbelt anchor to access these other bolts. Also, you will need a deep socket to undo the bolts that hold the seat to the floor, in order to access the wiring underneath.
