I cannot seem to find any update posts or how-to's on doing the pinch weld mod. I've found a few topics but all the pictures are deleted from the user. If anyone knows of any it'd be a big help.

Thanks i advance.

Cut back the plastic and hammer the pinch weld towards the engine. Pretty simple

Sent with the power of children's screams!!!

Also, spray on some black paint or something for corrosion protection. The plastic liner needs to be at least flattened with a heat gun, and ideally welded to itself. Mine was pretty worn when I did it.

I think some people used to pull the clips and fold the liner back, beat the weld, then fasten the liner again. Then they sat there with a heat gun massaging the plastic back to make more room.

I cut my fender liner out at that height all way across. But I also didnt "just flatten my pinch weld" I beat that thing back. Had to make room for 32.2s with 3.5" lift. Now im at 4" and have plenty of room

Is the pinch weld the same for KJ and KK's?

If so, I found a good link over on jeepkj.com
