The time has come for me to be back on the forum and start upgrading the KK a bit more. I officially hit 200k on my '08 yesterday and couldn't be more excited to get it out on the trails again.

So have the KK's become more accepted as an off-roader as far as the aftermarket parts go? I remember finding a lot of dead ends and KJ parts a couple years back.

Look forward to chatting with everyone again :D

Thank you. and at 200k it might just sound better than when I bought it at 3 miles. Just somthing else to look forward to for all the KK owners.

My first upgrade is going to be a 2.5" lift and a set of skids. I don't think my budget will ever allow for a full bumper swap but you never know!

You can get a full OME (Old Man Emu) lift that has longer shocks and stiffer springs which will get you 2.5 inches for about $900. It's the lift I have and many others do, too.
Take some time and look over the threads and you will see what we've been up to lately. :JEEPIN:

Oh trust me. No work will be getting done today haha. and OME is most likely going to be what I go with. Skids first though as I don't have a ton of options for actually driving off the road here in CT. Mostly looking out for sharp rocks and downed logs that are randomly scattered through the trail

Nice color!
Probably just the photo, but your front driver side tire looks low.
It's nice to see a high mileage KK running around. Pretty sure that's the highest I've seen.

And in New England to boot. They've abandoned salt for the new liquid chemical, and it does quite a number on the underside.

And I think it was just the angle of the pic. If anything my driver rear tire was low. I had to replace that rim recently and found a NASTY crack in the old one.
