Although mine is a KA, thought I would post. 147k and growing everyday.

I have maintained it with synthetic since I bought it with 30k on the clock. Trans has been flush a couple times and diffs fluid changed a couple times.

This year I did a water pump just to get it out of the way, never failed. Also did plugs and coils both. Only problem I have ever had was this last set of plugs I swapped the electrodes had melted, they were iridium. Electrodes were eaten and gap was huge causing a miss.

Plans to haul my expedition trailer this year to Ocrakoke, and Deadwood both from State College, PA.

I am very curious about the sky slider as well. What caused so many failures?

280,000 km's(174,000 miles) on our 2008 Sport 4x4! Its been great with only a pinion seal other than regular maintenance. Have had fluid changed in transfer case and both diffs twice. Plus coolant changed as well, and synthetic oil every 8000 km (5000 miles). Runs excellent with just now seems to have a bearing noise(transfer case?) in 2wd between 60 - 80 mph. Will be selling soon as we got a smokin deal on a used Rav4 V6.

2008 with 170,000 on it. I just purchased this so I have no history. It's very clean and runs good. It's all stock at this time ,but I want to lift it and add new wheels and tires.

I have a way to go lol. Mines at 54000 mi and bought it at 53000. I think I was lucky. I've been looking for a Renegade and happened to find one super clean with leather and sunroof.
Only thing I've I had to do. Is replace cruise switch on steering wheel do to being intermittent. I've done oil change and drained radiator coolant. Then added Zerex equivalent. Will do tranny and diff fuids once I get a bigger floor jack.
Replaced the tires it that were on it with Cooper's. They were good, just not A/T and went up to 245/70/16 at same time.. Lol. Sold the tires that it came with off to a fellow who was riding on some baldies on his pick up. Kind of made me feel good that I could help someone out.

Rolled mine over a few weeks ago. At 104k now.
Not too many repairs. The only annoying thing is that the AC half works and the motor that changes what vent the air comes from is broken, so I tacked it in one spot to blow on the windshield.
Did the rear calipers and front rotors at 96k
O2 sensors at 50k
Brake master cylinder at 37k
No real issues outside of those few fixes.

09 Sport Rocky Mountain Edition 4x4. A little over 106,000 on it. Only things done to it over the last year pf owning it other than routine maintenance is replace rt front wheel bearing assembly, water pump/fan/fan clutch, replace rusty trans pan, have to do oil pan next, rear pinion seal(on 3rd one now), and 245/70/17 mud tires. Lots of added scratches and custom tree scratch pin striping along the way, and a scraped up front bumper cover thanks to tree stumps and rocks, lol. Lt front axle seal is leaking a little and sunroof leaks, but no big deal.

Almost 310,000 kilometres now & working great, I still redline it couple times a week. Recent repairs, tipm , all ball joints, rear diff rebuilt. Have airbag light on so it probably needs clockspring but that's not important lol. Just gotta figure how to upload pics?

Currently at 119k and still going strong. Only repairs since then was a frozen front caliper. A/C still sucks, but then again, I never fixed it either.

Phil + Neela, I hear you about the vent air selection being broken. Mine has been stuck on Feet since April, although recently I managed to get it to blow on the windshield a little. I’m at 152,000 or so on mine.

Here is the solution to my vent problem: a new air distribution box.
Image

Only thing is I have to disassemble the dash to install it. Still waiting for the right weekend to tackle this.

How much did you pick that up for? And where?

And I understand on the dash disassembly. I got pretty far when I was troubleshooting in the first place, but I wuss out when it says to pull the steering wheel and cluster to get at everything. I really don’t want to screw that up.

I got it from Amazon because they had prices competitive with the Mopar Parts sellers online.

The distribution box was $190 and the seal kit with foam gaskets was $28.

Before buying, I verified that the problem was a cracked plastic gear on the mode door vent, rather than a broken actuator that is more easily replaced. I also watched a ton of YouTube videos on heater core repairs and studied ajohns1288’s how to here on LOST.

All in all it seems doable. Of course i say that without yet having begun the process! The cluster is just an electronic board with wires clipped in the back, like unplugging Ethernet cords from the back of a computer. I am not worried about that as much as a I am the steering wheel. I’m going to see if I can drop the wheel without taking it off, and I am about 50% sure this might be possible based on what I see in the videos. If I do have to pull it, the local auto parts store has a puller. Hoping not, though. I don’t want to mess up the clockspring.

Post subject:  Re: KK's with 100K miles

Purchased my 4x2 back in 2010, and its an 08 model. It's currently at 130k, issues I had since it rolled over, was the fuel injectors were changed out, and right now I'm currently in the process of changing the rotors, and fixing a roof leak(rain). My AC gave out like 3 years, back, just never seemed to get it fixed, but I manage the Texas Gulf Coast Heat  . I guess it comes with time, and I know I could have done more to maintain it, but it was my first vehicle, and I was young when I got it.

I'm actually thinking about sending it to Mexico so my in law can have something to drive while they're out there in the summer.

I decided to join the board to look for inspiration on fixing it, and making it look nice, before it changes countries :)

2012 liberty sport 4x4
160,000+Miles

No real issues. Drivers side window switch kinda acts up but it still works. Rear door seals seem to “pop” off and don’t want to stay on very well so i have to push them back on over the lip. Maybe a glue would keep it in place.

Those rear wheelhouse seals are Part number 05112265AA if you want to replace with new. One of mine got sort of mangled and never stayed on properly, so I replaced it. Same part number for both sides.
