So at 54,624 miles i brought my Liberty in with a check engine light with transmission failure code on. Dealer called me a day later and told me it had to be rebuilt. 2-3 days later I picked up my Liberty with a rebuilt tranny at no cost to me. All went well as I expected it would, my question is if the transmission goes again later down the line is it still going to be covered by the lifetime warranty program?

Stealerships will try their hardest to make up an excuse on how the defective item is not under warranty. we've all been there, done that!

Lifetime power train warranty is for the 1st owner only and not transferable to any owner after, if that's what you're talking about.

Lifetime Warranty is also only valid as long as you have the required checkups done at the dealer.

I believe it is every 5 years. So far I've had a water pump, front axle output seal, and rear pinion seal all replaced under the lifetime warranty.

The code that tripped was P0734 but luckly the dealer rebuilt the transmission never gave me a problem about it. My question was if the transmission goes a few years from now again will it still be covered or is the lifetime warranty a one shot deal per part?

Let me 1st apologize for bringing this thread down the wrong path. For some reason I read bought instead of brought.

No it's not a one shot deal, I've had my transmission rebuilt twice already. They will continue to fix the power train until the cost of the repair out weighs the value of the vehicle or until you miss the 5yr inspection or sell the vehicle.
