Had to leave Virginia for a family emergency. While I'm away from Virginia I wanted to replace the spark plugs. Bought the oem ngk plugs.

On my way to get the plugs I got a cel and an electronic throttle control light. I did not bring my spare throttle body. Wish I did. Not sure why it threw that code as well?

I don't remember exactly the code, possibly a p2100. But realized the vacuum tube I fixed that morning was not properly secured to the intake. Tightened it after I did the spark plugs and havent had an issue yet.

Hopefully the spark plugs get me better mileage! Down shifting to second gear holds me back a Heck of a lot more! First is the same back pressure as it was (or as it seems to be) with the original.

And all 6 plugs had different wear patterns. 3 looked more worn out then the other 3. Maybe the original owner attempted to replace them to improve mileage. Spark plugs are cheep enough to replace all 6 at once!

Bought fca ngk plugs for 35 bucks. Which is way to expensive, but while I had time on thursday; I didn't want to go looking around for copper core plugs and need to worry about anything else.

Getting a way better cb radio and another whip today. Going to go out and buy a new air filter. I don't have the time to wait for my current one to dry and 're oil it, so I'll have 2. One for pavement and one for off road.

Calculated it out. I got 17.3 mpg from Virginia back home in PA. There's an issue with the evap and with a few other monitors. No CEL's since I pressure washed the chassis.

17 mpg, that's just terrible. And I've had mileage like that for the past 3 weeks. Just didn't want to get into it without my tools. And plus, I was on "vacation", who wants to work on a jeep while on a vacation?

Ever thought of painting your rims the accent color that you picked instead of black? I think it would look good :2cents:

So thinking back to this and having similar colored mud on my rims, I'm sorta digging the look. The jeep wouldn't look as aggressive as it is now, but would give me those style points.

Careful with light colors. Light colors, like beige and white look terrible when they're dirty.
I know you keep your Jeep clean, but food for thought.
I've seen some bad pictures of white/tan plastidip turning yellow over time.
My last car had white rims for most of its life. Had to clean and polish them every week or two for them to look good.

So, I painted them. I have one left to do and their all done. I'll post a final pic, but I personally think they look great! The spray paint is not plasti dip, but regular paint that will be a pita to remove. I'm detailing the jeep Sunday. Though not in this picture, I have tire shine on. And they look great! Lug nuts are plain restored aluminum in color.

Detailed the whole jeep today. Finished up at about 11. The rims look great! But I'm on the fence about how they look from the rims up. Completed the last rim today. So all 4 rims are done.

I'll take a picture of it tomorrow and upload it.

And somehow I managed to f**k up my wheel hub. So guess what's next on Ryan's to do list besides a proper lift, larger tires, ATH front bumper and rock sliders, and new injectors? Yea, a new hub assembly...

Ogh, and I want to get another tool box for the jeep. Currently I have my recovery gear, compressor, and tools in the same box and what a pain it is just to get the tow strap or a pair of pliers.

Here is a tool box solution that I have in my Jeep. Let me know if you'd like me to send you the blueprints to make it.

Cleaned out the engine bay a little. Inspected engine bay vacuum lines. Attempted to throw on the stock Tb.

The engine vent line was cracked at the end of the fitting. Not enough to cause a leak but I did take a mental note on it. Made sure all engine bay vent lines were secure, which they were.

So for that whole process I had the battery disconnected for 7 hours. Did a test run. Ran ok. I wanted to replace the 4.7l Tb with the stock Tb for a mileage comparison. Though I didn't have tome to do so since it takes awhile for the ECU to reset as well as me off roading tomorrow morning.

I greased up the sway bar and outer tie rods.

I also painted the intake:

Also cleaned the maf sensor, and what 9k miles did to that, filthy.

Going to rausch Saturday was great! I averaged 18 mpg there and back!!! Mileage during off roading was just awful. The leader was so slow I basically was below 1k rpm the whole time and the jeep was on the whole time which was 6 hours. Felt bad For my baby. Though when we did stop for 5 minutes I popped the hood. I'm not one on turning the engine off during off roading unless it's over a 10 minute break.

If I remember corectly, throtle was 3/4 of the way wide open.

That sexy 3.7 growl!!!

There's a reason why I have no plan on removing the factory exaust. I love to hear our KKs engine growl and ticking injectors rather than a grumbling exhaust.
