Im thinking about purchasing a 4 inch lift from jeepin by al. the platinum package is out of my price range unfortunately. Is it worth the extra 200 dollars to get the gold package rather than the silver? Am i going to need anything extra to complete the installation or do these kits have everything? The gold package does not mention any extended brake lines in the description. If anyone has pictures of their jeeps with the lift id love to see them. Recommended tire sizes are welcome too.

Differences in pricing is all in the shocks , better shocks as prices go up
245-75-16s unless you are regearing to 4.10s or lower

Nope, you can if you want to though.

Oh and as far as the kit goes, the difference is the rear shocks. Silver is 5100s, Gold is 7100s with remote reservoirs. Seeing how the price difference is only $200 it's probably worth it to go gold. 7100s retail for 260ish from JBA, the 5100s are like $90.

That said, will you need 7100s with remote reservoirs? Do you wheel that heavy enough to build that much heat or need a rebuildable shock(I believe the 7100s are rebuildable as well, but I could be wrong)? That's up to you.

5100s: Non-rebuildable, two valving settings, no reservoir

7100s: Owner-rebuildable, 6 valving option, reservoir options, short body option (same travel, different extended/collapsed lengths)

For a normal driver the 5100s at a 255/70 (available in 5100s and 7100s) valving provides the optimal ride comfort/control. If wheeling often, 275/78 (only 7100s) valving would suit you better if still being used as a road driver.

My vote is to go for the Bilsteins over the Fox shocks. That's my own personal opinion though. I'd go with buying your parts that ain't JBA named from other places for cheaper, but for peace of mind of making sure you have everything buy the kit.
