Hey everyone. This is my first time posting I have a 2011 KK right now running a RRO spacer lift. I hate it. I went wheeling once and the suspension handles like poop. I want to do a 4" lift kit all around. I found the rear assembly through JBA but I can't seem to find any front lift except the coil over system which I don't want to spend the money on. I'm looking to buy little at a time as I don't have the full money up front. Any help????

You can get the front up into that range with OME or Ironman when adding a clevis lift and top plate
(OME 927 with 3/8 inch clevis and 1/4 inch top plate will put you in the 3.5-3.75 range)
You'll need of course, JBA upper controls arms, BUT even then if you sit it at 3.75-4 inches you are going to have UCA/ Spring contact
Stay at 3.5 inches or below and you'll be fine with JBA UCAs ( no spring/UCA contact)
any more and you'll be wanting the adjustable coilovers ( plus they ride so nice )
Then when you get to 4 inches of lift 30 inch tires will look small, then you go to 32s and then have to regear and then.............................

Also as tommudd stated. How would I gain clearance between UCA and spring if I go with the 4"

Want to sit level, or do you like the rake? Not to be mean, but give up on 4" unless you want to spend the money on the JBA adjust-a-struts. Trust me on this, unless you get all the trade secrets out of those 2 you can't really get OME springs up to 4" of lift. Even at 3.5" I was getting a bit of spring/uca contact at big bumps. JBA does ride the best though...

Anyways, if you want the rake you'll want to go with the Tommudd lift kit. That uses Ironman or OME springs in front and JBA 4" rear springs.

If you don't want the rake then piece together the old 3.5" econo lift. Basically it's OME 927 and 731 springs, your choice of shocks, 3/8" clevis, 1/4" top plate, 4 extra rear upper spring isolators (2 extra per side for a total of 3, stock plus 2) and most importantly, JBA UCAs.

Hes right. If you want 4" go with JBA coilovers. They are real nice ride and very adjustable.

But many people have asked me how I got my 06 up to 4.25" with Ironman. Only a handful of people know, i dont recommend it and actually dropped it down to 4" with a hair bit less clevis to keep the arm and spring contact down.

I put my 06 lift together. Bought the Ironman springs from JBA, bilstein shocks from online vendor with a coupon. Made my own top plates and rear spring isolators. And clevis lift was free. I have less than 700 in the suspension, plus 400 for the arms.

For the most part, KJ and KK have the same suspension. Different rear springs and upper control arms, but same front shocks and springs.

What is rake? I'm new in the lifted aspect of cars. I'm usually a lowered car type of guy

Rake is it being unlevel. Most of the time its nose down

Yep, rake is the uneven stance of a vehicle. Our Libertys are like pickups in the sense that the rear sits higher. In a pickup there's a reason, you load it up, then it sits level and doesn't squat. In our Jeeps(and JKUs), I don't know the reason. Just some factory design lol.

I find it seems to help a bit when climbing out of deep obstacles

Jsc, please bite the bullet on the JBA adjust-a-struts. The money is well worth it and for years to come. Ome, springs from 4x4kayak, or all your lift from JBA.

On behalf of us here at lost, JBA is the best to buy but expensive. Second is ome, but you can't get a high front lift with them.

JBA adjust-a-struts come in handy for Off road because the shocks are adjustable, and for when you start sagging in the front, you can compensate that by lowering the nut.

I'd bite the bullet but I really need struts and shocks bad. The budget lift and mudding doesn't mix well. And I can't see spending 1000+ just for front suspension.

You gotta talk to the KJ guys that ran Ironman and OME. Both 4x4kayak and Tommudd have, and I believe a few others. I personally went with OME originally because I wanted the springs to be a matching set as well the little bit of extra height they give over Ironman.

If you're on a budget the Tommudd lift is the best bang for your buck. You can save a little if you piece them together and choose different shocks. I know Bilstein shocks will take a bit off the price. OME gives a little more height, but you can make up for it with a larger clevis lift with the Ironman kit. It's personal preference as far as which version to get. Just remember, no matter what front springs you choose, the Tommudd kit will give the rear high rake.

Go with Ironman, OME, or JBA coilovers. If your on a budget, get the OME and have ya a 2.5" lift for $830 Then slowly raise it up after that.

You can also watch the fourms and facebook, sometimes you can find used lifts for a little bit of nothing.

In fact my wifes Ironman lift might be up for sale soon, shes getting my custom coilovers with my custom rear springs.
