Hello My crd 2008 blows no or very little heat in cabin. Its a little bit warmer on passengers side. From what i understand it could be a clogged heat core. Have any of you guys done a flush and can explain to me wich hoses to flush (a picture would be great!). Thanks! |

The issue with the CRD is it has an electric positive temperature coefficient (PTC) cabin heater as well as a coolant heater core. According to the service manual. The electric heater is powered by the TIPM and two relays in the diesel accessory fuse/relay block located below the left front fender. I don't have pictures of the core hoses in a CRD. But they will be the 2 that go through the fire wall on the passenger side of the engine bay. Standing in front of the Nitro looking under the hood, the hose on the left is the return line. You should flush the return line first a couple of times, then the supply line a couple times, then the return line a couple more times. |

Thank you Scar0 for your reply ![]() I can see two hoses go into the fire wall. The hoses seems to go down somewhere under the engine. Its not much room in this engine apartment ![]() I have two pictures maybe someone can look at them and help me find out if the only way to flush is to disconnect those two hoses behind/under the engine or if there is any easier way to flush. http://www.bilddump.se/bilder/201601221 ... 194.60.JPG http://www.bilddump.se/bilder/201601221 ... 194.60.JPG Thanks again! |

I do not have a CRD so all i can do is look at the manual I have. According to the service manual. In order to see the heater core hoses you will need to remove the plastic engine cover. |

Hi I have now flushed the heater core both ways and right after the flushing the heat in the cabin was back! I had to remove the anti freeze container and behind a cover of foam rubber i could loosen the hoses attached to the fittings in the firewall. |
