Post subject:  Heater Vents working 20%

Hello,
I have been trying to figure this out for a while, and I am extremely frustrated.

I went to do a drive to a town an hour away, and tried switching on my heater vents. Very minor air came out, but I could hear the air making a huge racket in the dash. I had a mild issue with this last summer, so I just shut the vehicle off and it cleared up when I turned it back on. But this time, the issue is persisting, and I am getting very frustrated.

Spent a lot of time doing research and found various forums suggesting that it was the vacuum lines, but I think my year was the first they switched from vacuum to straight electronic systems.

I have found one actuator, and thought that the unit was toast, until I tore it apart very roughly and found out it was still very functional. So I reassembled it and re-installed it. But the problem I am having is, I can't find any of the other actuators, and I have no idea where they might be.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might find the other actuators? Or what might be the issue?

I have a 2008 Jeep Liberty, with cold air intake, and dynomax super turbo muffler. Replaced the in cab air filters and double checked them when I noticed the issue starting.

Thanks in advance!

All the doors are electronic in the KK.
Blend [hot/cold], Mode [floor/vent/defrost](B & M Doors are on the drivers side, from the floor look up and toward the fire wall) & Recirc [outside/inside air](glove box area).

Please read all of the following and take heed the warnings! If you take things apart and don't get them back in the same place, a dealer will have to reprogram the door settings.

See this thread, and my link in it.

You can also pull the radio bezel off, remove the radio, then you should be able to remove the center panel vent tubes. Through that hole you will be able to reach the mode door which has been known to get stuck. One person found a tar like buildup on his door.
More Mode door info here, and a How-To link in the last post.
