I do hear a "click" in the back when the fob is depressed for lock or unlock.
Is there a relay back there that needs replaced?
I'd like to think that if it were a regulator issue that they wouldn't all four go out at once.

Check fuse M38.
The click may be the hatch lock. To be sure; press lock and check it, then unlock and check it again. I need to know if it is working.
Do you have the auto-lock feature set up, where your doors automatically lock at 25 Mph?
If so, test it also and let us know if you hear the click?
Disconnect the Neg(-) battery cable. Then pull the drivers master switch. Check all the plugs.

All the lock relays are internal to the TIPM (computerized fuse box).

Auto-lock is setup but not working either.
I'll check the fuse and if rear hatch is locking.
We did disconnect the pos cable for >1 min but it did not help.
Where is the "drivers master switch"?
Check which plugs?

Thanks for the help!

Oh no! Don't disconnect the Pos(+) first. Always the Neg(-) first then the Pos(+). Reverse order when connecting, Pos then Neg.
10 minutes is recommended to allow the airbag capacitors to time to discharge. So they won't go off accidentally.
10 minutes will also reset the computers if there is a glitch.
Masters switch is in the drivers door. It is held in with friction clips. Pry it up and check the plugs connected to it.
While it is unplugged try connecting the battery and use the fob. Let me know what happens. Disco the battery again and reconnect the master switch.

Do you hear anything when auto-lock tries to lock? Or after you reach speed, stop turn off the rig, and open a front door, do you hear anything like it is trying to unlock?

If fuse M38 is blown, replace it. If it blows again right away, DO NOT replace it again...

M38 was indeed blown. I have a 30 but will get a 25 up town after lunch.

Do I need to disco the neg batt term before, after or at all?

You do not need to disconnect the Neg to swap the fuse.
Here is the bad news you didn't want to here.
This is going to cost you a lot.
You will need a new TIPM. (A dealer Diag can confirm this.)
Explanation;
As I said earlier, the relay for the locks is internal to the TIPM. They are soldered onto the computer board.
The relays are just barely with in Amp specs to actuate the locks.
What has happened is the relay has shorted out. Thus the fuse blowing as soon as you replaced it.
So leave the fuse out until you get a New TIPM.
If you put another fuse back in it could cause the short to get worse and further damage the TIPM. Possibly causing other things to short out. Which could also lead to a fire!

Some other things you need to know...
When buying TIPM.

Used, Has to be from a KK!
If not damaged, will plug in and work well enough to get you to the dealer to have your VIN specific programming done to it.
Used, you never know for sure what you are getting.

New TIPM ordered without your VIN will most likely not have any programming in it. Your rig will not start and run. One ordered with your VIN # will usually come programmed, Plug and play, but not always... Some sites only use your VIN to verify the part you are ordering is "compatible" or designed for your rig. Before ordering, ask specifically if it comes with your VIN specific programming already installed.
A dealer will usually charge 1+/- hour to program a TIPM.
So:
Used $ + 1 hour $.
New with the Jeep at the dealer or towed to a dealer, New $ + 1 hour $,
or new $ with programming already there.

There is a specific sequence you need to follow when plunging in the TIPM and a procedure you need to follow right after, to get the TIPM to work.
If you are going to try to take this on, let me know. I have a PDF file you can download with the instructions.
It is for a KA (Nitro) but the instructions are the same for the KK Libby.

E-bay used around $150-250 ↑, + programming.
Internet $500-$600, + programming.
Dealer $800+.
At this point it may be worth getting a dealer Diag., just to be safe.

I sure appreciate your time and input, Scar0.

By the way, after further research into the TIBM it sure appears that there's been a long standing problem with the lack of water resistance designed into these. A real shame.

Your welcome. There has been many problems with the TIPM 7. There is one class action lawsuit going on, and a recall, I am aware of. But the Libby and Nitro are not included in them. :?:
I know of at least 3 Nitro TIPM fires that have been documented on another forum. If I recall correctly the owners lived in dry dusty areas.
Too bad CJD will not make it right for their customers!

Water and dust are only some of the issues. The internal relays used for the door locks are not up to the task. One KA owner in France opened up his TIPM and replace the relays with higher Amp rated relays after his shorted out also. TIPM in France are CRAZY $$$. He has had no issues since. Over seas, the rigs use a double lock system equivalent to a dead bolt. If the locks stop working when they are locked you are up a creek!

Thank you both for this info. I have been having all kinds of crazy issues that you two have referred to for almost a year. The latest is that my left blinker will not stop. :furious:

The blinker issue is most likely a short in the stalk. That is unless it is not auto clicking off.
If it is not auto clicking off, but you can manually turn it off, then most likely it is just a loose stalk mounting screw.

You right, it is not auto clicking off. The left signal does turn off when i use the right signal. Can you assist with instruction to getting that thing out?

Thank you in advance . I would like to add that I would have sold this a long time ago, if it weren't for lost jeep and you moderators.
