I've been cruising through a lot of forums trying to figure out if I can apply a roof rack to my KK and just not open the skyslider? I have those lame black molding rails that run parallel to the skyslider track but Idk if any cross bars will be high enough to clear the closed skyslider. Has anyone tried this? Thanks! |

Yes, there are threaded studs under the black plastic molding that you can use to install OEM or aftermarket side rails, and/or a roof rack. (Check out AtTheHelm's side bars and roof rack in the vendor area of the for sale section.) If you open the sky slider by accident though with the roof rack on, you might shred the open/close mchanism. Maybe there is a fuse you could remove to ensure this doesn't happen? |

Here are some more ideas. Scroll down to the Exterior Mods / Roof Racks section. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=80240 |
