Are the Mopar skids any good? Found out just how capable the KK is and realized that skids would actually be beneficial  Also would they cause any temperature problems? Many of the trails in socal are 5000ft+ climbs and outside temps are always hot. Thanks in advanced for the help.

They are the same ones put on at the factory. All Jeep skids must meet standards such as amount of force they can take while not affecting performance (cooling) or serviceability.

For what its worth, I've scraped mine a whole lot and there was no damage except for the paint. The only weak spot is the trans skid, if you belly flop on something hard, you will bend it up into your exhaust, but that beats destroying your trans pan.
