hey I have an 08 KK and the " serv 4wd" light comes on all the time more accurately it stays on from when I start the engine. Also the light with the little car making skid marks comes on at random. What service am I supposed to do and how do I reset it afterwards? I checked the oil in the transfer case and the diffs all is ok. As soon as I stop in my driveway I crawl under the front and put my hand on the hubs they are warm but never hot . The front axel housing however gets hot to were I can't hold my hand on it . Is this normal operating temperature? What do you think? thanks Gary |

The SERV4WD light comes on when a problem has been detected with the 4WD system. I'd start by having a look at the wire connector on the shift motor at the X-fer case. |

You may want to check the tranny fluid level. Same thing happened to me and found tranny pan leaking. Fixed leak fixed serv 4wd light. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I changed the shift motor on the transfer case and that solved the problem. When I removed the old one the transfer case was not turned completely into the neutral position. The neutral position is were the shift motor needs to be to change to a new one. That means the shift motor never quite shifted all the way into the gear it was supposed to be in. |
