Quick question to those of you who had weird door lock behavior before your TIPM melted down: How did it start? Mine is now having intermittent trouble unlocking all the doors with the fob. 1st press is supposed to open the drivers door. 2nd press is supposed to unlock all the doors. Mine sometimes doesn't unlock all the doors on the second press, but instead it unlocks the drivers door a second time and third time if I press the button again. Then I have to open the drivers door and manually press the button to unlock all the other doors. It doesn't always do this. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes not. It started acting this way a few days ago. How does this sound to you? Beginning of the end for the TIPM ![]() Thanks, Lauren |

From Scar0: Quote: From what I have seen, the locks just stop working all together.
Try a reset. Pull Neg(-) cable for 10 minutes. Check the master drivers door switch. It may be dirty. Everything runs to there first, then out to the other doors. |

I had been having this same problem since I bought mine 4 months ago. I pulled the battery when installing the lift and since it seems to have stopped doing it since. Or at least as much... I will have to keep an eye on it because I didn't realize it was a known issue... |

Hi, Lauren. Have you tried a spare or new battery in the key yet? Sometimes I think it just matters how hard you press unlock. |

You may want to change your setting to 1 press = unlock all doors. The relay inside the TIPM is barely rated for the Amp draw to unlock the doors. So repeated unlock presses can over heat it. ![]() That being said, I think Gageraid may be onto something. Low fob battery and not hitting the unlock the second time fast enough, my also cause your symptoms. |

Do you only have on fob or is this happening with both fobs? - Kevin T, Social Connect Team |

Mine does this too. In fact, the driver's unlock button sometimes LOCKS all the doors about three or four times before unlocking them. I've pulled the battery plenty of times and it never had any effect, nor has a new battery in the remote. I never tried cleaning the button itself...I'll try that soon. Well, it hasn't done it in about a week. Everything seems normal now, even though I didn't even do anything to troubleshoot it. We will see how long it stays working normally... |
