So I am putting the final pieces together for my new lift and I decided I would like to powder coat my front lower control and upper and lower rear control arms. Purely cosmetic, no other reason. I first need to remove the current bushings, they are in decent shape but I imagine any attempt to press them out will leave them in need of replacement, some rust present around the rim of the bushings. I am having difficulty finding new rear bushings as most shops sell new arms relatively cheaply as an alternative. Am I better off buying new arms and carefully pressing the new bushing out to prep for the powder coat? If I can find rear bushings, I would just replace the bushings. I imagine a press borrowed from an automotive shop should make quick work of pressing the bushings out, anyone else have any experience with this? It seems the front bushings can be found easily, having trouble with finding rear bushings. Any recommendations with new bushings?
