I've only had my '11 KK for a month, now, and just trying to check for, what needs maintenance. I pulled the #1 coil pack, to check the plug gap, and when I turned over the coil pack, there appeared to be a loose spring inside that would make contact on the top of the plug. Is that spring supposed to be loose, or is something broken? At idle there may be a very, very, slight vibration or miss. No other anomalies with engine performance, just wondering. BTW, I only pulled the one plug/coil pack, and the gap was .045. So, I put everything back. Thanks, EJ |

Surely, someone has turned their coil packs over, and knows.

it's how the coil makes contact with the plug, they arent like the old type that physically clamped around the neck of the plug, the boot clamps against the ribs of the plug and the spring gets compressed its ok if it jiggles around a bit if there's a misfire/etc itll throw a code specific to a certain plug/coil unless its random or multiple then itll throw a secondary code /and/or/ |
