:frankie: So, I have an 08 KK. I went to head to work last night and as soon as I hit the unlock button on my key fob, the car went haywire. Horn blew constantly, windshield wipers were bouncing back and forth, windshield wiper fluid was spraying out etc.

Car started ok but nothing changed. Tried a different key, emergency button etc. Nothing changed. I had to unplug the battery to shut it all off. I gave it a day and re connected the battery, and everything fired up again with no change. Everything that was turned on though, the controls appeared to be connected to the column in some way.

I checked the fuses and I can't see any that are blown and I don't know how to check the bigger ones.

My wife is supposed to have a baby any day now and I really would like to have my car running in case something happens to our other car. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I hate to suggest this, but sometimes problems with the power locks are a symptom of a failing TIPM (totally integrated power module, or the underhood fuse box). See this thread for slightly different symptoms than yours, but others have had windshield wipers, sprayers, horn, etc. like you describe:

Scar0 is our resident expert on this issue, so you may want to PM him.

Congrats to you and your wife on the new baby!

Sorry to say... I have to agree with lfhoward on this one. Typical TIPM going bad symptoms.
The other thread lfhoward linked to has some good info in it.
Temp fix to stop the noise is to smack the top of the TIPM. But this is not a cure and will not make it safe.
This is a Vid of a KA Nitro, Same TIPM is used in the KK Liberty.

You could try pulling your TIPM and blow out the dust, and it may solve the issue for a while...

Mine is on its way out too. Radio stays on after I shut it off and leave the vehicle and door locks go nuts. what is the fix? Should I get a new one? Refurbished?

Well, it happened again. Everything went haywire. This time I was driving down the road with my two little boys in the car so it was quite a mess. Looks like it is time to take it in. There goes my ATH bumper :banghead:

@ Scar0, Did you have that PDF available for the TIPM swap still? Or do you think I should just take it to the dealer and have the work done? Thanks.

Check your PM.
IMO not worth paying a dealer to do the swap. I'd go there only if it needs programmed.
