I have a 2010 KK that I love but with a handful of issues that concern me about having a 6-year old Jeep with 153,000 miles on it as my daily driver.

Does anyone know a good mechanic that really knows his or way around a KK?

Thanks

Matt

I know a really good place in Jackson and another in Ann Arbor, but if I remember my geography, that might be a bit far to travel for a mechanic.

K&J Tire has amazing customer service and smart, honest mechanics. They're in the Jackson/Spring Arbor area - you'll have to google them, as they just moved in the last year or so. Rick is the guy that always helped me out. I bought my Duratracs from them, and they have fixed numerous things over the years for me on both my KK and XJ. They even did a full cylinder head replacement on my XJ a few years back. (My in-laws live in Brooklyn near MIS, and as luck would have it stuff always seems to break on long trips to MI from PA, lol!)

In Ann Arbor I recommend Select Auto Service, a small mom and pop place off of the north end of Platt Rd. They know what they're doing and I had many long-time local folks recommend them to me when I lived in Ann Arbor. They did brakes and transmission service on my KK, and charged a fair price for the work. They also kept me in the loop about what they were doing and why.

It's always good to know a good, honest mechanic!
