 Post subject: asd fuse keeps blowing

hey all, been around for awhile. we bought my wifes 2010 liberty a couple years ago. she loves it. unfortunately last week it died on her. after pulling a p0688 code with the key cycling trick i found the fuse for the asd relay went bad, replaced and all was well or so i thought. it blew the fuse again after a couple days, seemingly on sharp right turns. i have been all over trying to find a short somewhere but no luck. any ideas where i should be looking? thanks , carl

Fuse M19 or M21? If its 19, check the harness going to the injectors and PCM, if its 21, check the harness going to the ignition coils.

its 19. 3 times last 3 days..i have gone over the harnesses. injecters, alternater and o2 sensers. cant see anything. the weird part is every time it happened was a hard right turn. thanks for the help. carl

Before doing any work on the Liberty, disconnect the Neg (-) battery cable and wait 10 minutes!
This will allow time for the airbag capacitors to discharge.
You don't want to have your airbags go off accidentally.

Pull the TIPM(computerized fuse box) off the brackets, check the bundle of wires that run around the inboard corner of rear the bracket. When I did my lift install, I found a wire at that location which had part of the insulation worn through because it was rubbing against the bracket.

Br/Wt is + from fuse M19.
Use Ohm meter to test and/or trace wires;
TIPM connector C5 (BROWN 40 way[rear center]) Pin 9. Trace wires to/from C105 connector(Pin 34 or pin5). It is located on the firewall, drivers side. With the hood up you should be able to see the wiper arm hole in the cowl, look below it on the firewall.

There is also a splice located up line from where the PCM wires come together. The SM shows it just past (inboard) of the O clamp bolting down the wire bundle near the right fender/ firewall, below and inboard of the PCM.
From the splice it breaks into wires that go to the PCM plugs. C1(BLACK/BLACK 38 WAY) pin 38, C3(BLACK/NATURAL 38 WAY) pins 19, and 28.
