Hey guys,

I was stumbling around amazon today and found another lift kit for us KK owners available to us in the USA. I thought I'd spread the word!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M68L3J8/re ... YTAFVP70VD

I'm not sure if it has always been available or if it is new on Amazon. I know I haven't found it before and I search all the time for KK related items! $790 + free shipping really ain't too bad at all, either. Turns out it is an Australian brand like Old Man Emu.

I've done a little research and while I couldn't find KK specific reviews... it seems like when compared to Old Man Emu... you're either an Old Man Emu guy or a Dobinson guy. Supposedly their springs aren't known to sag under abuse. Can't find many specifics though.. like whether their springs are rated for 250lb / 300lb/ 350lb... whatever.

Has anybody had any experience with this lift kit on here? I am considering trying it out as I am starting to get a little sick of the stock springs  I figure LOST could use an experiment too - I'd be happy to be the Dobinson guinea pig haha. Can't be any worse than my aging beat up stock suspension!

Never heard of them before
I would do some serious searching before spring for them
Start with the Aus group

There's actually an Aussie Cherokee/KK forum. I used to check in from time to time. If I remember right someone tried it. But I'm going back. Do some reading and asking there. It might pay off.

Not sure if the picture is the actual kit or not, but those front shocks aren't going to fit any Libbys

Did some digging after you guys suggested to and it seems even the Australians prefer Old man emu, haha. Some who run Dobinson still seem to love it though although some find it to be too stiff. For now I'll keep digging - there really isn't a whole lot of easily found info out there on it. Gonna have to dig deeper.

At this point I am mostly just curious. :)

I searched some and didn't find much either
E-mailed a friend over there to see what he can tell me

Have gotten a lot of info from them last few days with what they carry, spring specs etc
Talked to the owner, their import /export person, their USA distributor etc

Getting all info , I think they gave me some info in inches , some metric , some , well some doesn't make sense.
Good news is they have full spring lifts for the KL!

My friend has a dobinson lift kit on his Toyota Land cruiser, he is very pleased with the quality.
Apparently they are a well known Australian brand

Dobinsons have been installed by Jeep in Australia as dealer fitted lift option and no one keeps them if they hold onto their Jeep. There are plenty of Jeep owners down here mixing OME, Fox, Bilsteins shocks with locally made King springs, but not with Dobinson gear. Sorry but don't even bother.
