Ok, so first time poster here, but I need some help. This is not the first time this question has been asked, but I never found a resolution to the problem so I am hoping someone here figured it out. Drained the T-case, and more than 3qts came out I would guess. Every resource I check calls for somewhere around 1.50quarts - 1.75 quarts depending on the exact t-case it is. However none seem to be from a Jeep source, but I can't find a jeep source. So I start replacing the oil, and I went through the 2 quarts I bought and nothing came out the fill hole. Even the Jeep Liberty user manual says to "Fluid should be added only to fill hole until fluid begins to run out of the hole". So what is it? Are the charts wrong or did everyone miss something?

Approximate dry fill, or fill to bottom edge of the fill plug hole.
Mopar ATF+4, Automatic Transmission Fluid.
MP1522 - 3.80 Pints
MP3022 - 4.01 Pints

That's exactly the problem right there. One contradicts the other. I have more than that into it, and it still hasn't come out the fill hole.

I was confused on this as well when I changed mine a few years ago. Iirc I just put two quarts back in and all has been well.
I think I remember hearing something about the atf burping out of the vent tubes if you fill all the way to the to the fill hole but can't say for sure.
