All stock you need a wheel that is 7 inches wide and 5 inches of backspacing with a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern
same as stock
Stock height you're pretty much just going to have to stay with stock size
Any wider etc you'll run into issues with rubbing in front

Thank you and the 5X5 bolt pattern is the part that confused me.
http://lugpattern.net/Jeep_Bolt_Patterns.htm
That site said it's a 5x114.3 bolt patter. At for tires was going to put 245/70/16 on it.

OK so from looking at the rims they only have 16x8. So I need to find a rim that is 16x7 ?

7 inch would be best,
You may can get by with 8 inch rims depending on offset, backspacing and tire size...they are all relevant when changing wheels and not wanting the tires to rub!

8 inch wide is a problem and here is why
First you would need 5 inches of backspacing, but its going to stick out an inch further.
Now being an eight inch wide wheel its too wide for tires like 245-70-16s etc , need something with a 8 inch wide tread at least to work properly
Yes some have ran smaller but its not a good idea.
Plus being wider again you'll more than likely have some rubbing issues due to the arc that the wheel/tire moves in is now one inch further out

Some people are ok with their tires rubbing if they get "the look" they want, which explains why there are larger tires and rims on KK's on the web, some that even stick out past the fender. I personally don't agree with that philosophy. I want tires that will perform well and last a long time, and I want my vehicle to last too. Tom has lifted more than 30 KJ's and KK's in his driveway for folks on LOST and he used to sell tires too, so he would be a good person to trust on this one. (And I would get Tom's opinion on any and all questions about Liberty lifts too.)

Ooohhhhhh I have read a lot of stuff from Tom I agree. So need a 15 or 17 x 7 is the way to go. But what about the correct backspaceing or off set?

15" is to small. They are just to close to the calipers to be safe.

Thank you guys for all the info. My eyes are going cross eyed for reading so much. Just trying to find cheap steel wheels so I can spend more on better tires. Not concerned about going off road. Mostly for the slushy roads of Chicago hopefully future off road. But I also plan on going to put the stock tires and rims back on for better gas mileage for trips. Once again thank you guys for all the help.

You need to be lifted to run wheels like that
If not its going to rub very bad

Thank you again guys for all the information. Is stock size OK for spacers should I stick with stock size or does it have to be lifted? I'm weird I like the look of the wider stance.

PLEASE READ
You can not run spacers without a lift, you WILL HAVE rubbing issues
Stock wheels and spacers are the same as having a backspacing of 4 inches
OF COURSE some will try and run them, but hack away at everything in front which usually ends up being bad, they get upset and sell the KJ/KK
