I have run Cooper DISCOVERER A/T3's in 245/75R16 on my Liberty for the past two and half years. Good tires, but I would like something a little more grip in the snow. Anyone have any experience with the DISCOVERER ATP, S/T or RTX models?

I've run the Cooper A/T3's before and thought they were a good tire, but like you I then went to something a bit more aggressive with better grip: Goodyear Duratracs. I have the 245/75/R16 Duratracs in load range C (nicer ride than the stiffer E's with our Jeeps, because E's are designed for heavier trucks). These tires are amazing in just about every situation. They are snowflake-rated so legal to drive during snow emergencies just like snow tires, but they also have incredible off road traction and good road manners. State agencies such as the DNR run them around here too, which speaks volumes. The only complaint I've ever heard is that sidewalls are not as thick as some others, but that hasn't been an issue for me. I have 72,000 miles on mine so far and they still have almost 50% tread left. Best tire I have ever run.

^^^^ What he said, Duratracs are the best all around tire that I have ran for a long time, had them on for over 90,000 miles as well

I like the looks of the Duratracs. I will have to check them out. I have run Good Years before, but it was a long time ago on a sports car. They were very soft. The face that you 90,000 miles on them sounds like the kind of tire I am looking for.
