Today I discovered that when I shift out off 4wd low and then select the reverse gear my 2008 liberty kk makes a loud grinding noise
I have to shift back to neutral in order to stop the noise
After that everything works like a charm
No check engine light and all the above never happens again until I repeat the same procedure (shifting out from 4wd low and put the tranny to reverse)
Any ideas ???

I've had that happen a few times too​, do you have a tune installed? It sounds to me like I shifted into reverse before the tcase finished shifting. I think it was the clutches in the trans slipping, but I threw it back into neutral before I could tell where it was coming from.
