He's sitting on 37s with a long travel lift, JK D44 rear, Ford 9 ifs front diff, approximately 9-10" cradle drop, RCV front axles, and GM R&P. I think that's the gist of it lol.

Is that a custom R&P? I thought there weren't any aftermarket ones for the KK. So what would I need to add to my build to beef up the steering system? New R&P, RCVs, Long travel IFS?

Guys couldn't we just replace the seals with sturdier ones?

He did more than a custom r&p. He went with a completely different suspension setup entirely.

Well I don't think I'm willing to go that far. I figured 10k on a lift build was more than enough to meet my needs. There's a company in SD called Howe Performance Steering that designs custom steering setups for off-road racing. I feel like it couldn't be that hard for them to design something sturdier? Question is how much $$$

Got the car back with new factory rack installed. Already making noise and clunking when I turn left. Feel like it's just a matter of time before this rack goes. Taking it into the guys at Howe Monday to see if they can work out something custom. This might be the last chance for the KK ...

Reading briefly through this. Bad or incorrect fluid is a no no. Also may be chunks of metal flakes in the supply line from the pump. A brand new rack will not nor should blow out on a 2.5" lift. Check fluid and for metal flakes in the rack supply line as well as any blockage in the return line.

Also, who spends 10k on a 2.5" lift??? Spent maybe 1k at the absolute worst case scenario for 3" new parts all around.

Lift is 3.5". Parts and labor for JBA silver, gears, wheels, and 32" tires was just under 10K.

This guy really needs to post a build thread somewhere other than facebook 8)

I tried to join the facebook group so I could gander at his freaking sweet KK but nobody has accepted me into it yet!
