I had the KK long enough it was time to change the oil. I have always done my own work. I started looking for the oil filter and couldn't see it,so I looked on the internet. I find it but can't reach it. I get the filter wrench and get it on and use the wrench handle to turn it off. By now the world is spinning around for me. I get real dizzy laying on my back and get sick at my stomach. After much fiddling I get the oil filter back on. At one point I started laughing at myself for the trouble I was having. I guess it would be much easier if the KK was up in the air on a lift. |

Ditching the filter wrench completely and just gripping the filter in my hand with a coarse sand paper. 30 or 40 grit. It's such a tight spot I find those filter wrenches to be a bigger nuisance than assistant. And don't worry about getting dizzy - I bleed every time. |

Easier to take driver side headlight out. It's a straight shot in there. |

I lay on my back across/under the bumper, feet to the drivers side. from that position you have a clear view / path to the filter. Then I reach up with my left hand and remove it. No wrench. The hard part is having a catch can under there with you. And I always do it in short sleeves. My rig being lifted a little helps as well. Some have removed the drip tray to get at it easier. But I kinda like it there. Easier to clean my arm then it is to clean the axle and sway bar. |

I only leveled the front of my KK with a clevis spacer and I was really surprised how helpful that was when changing the oil too. The very first time I changed its oil I didn't even notice the drip tray until I got the filter off and realized my face was an inch from the drip tray. |
