Hello Everybody,
I have a 2011 KK and the ABS and ESP lights are on, the cruise control is not working and also I can only engage the 4wd when the jeep is in a complete stop.
From what I read that problem is related to the speed sensors and I used the OBDLINK with the torquePRO (in my cellphone) but no code was displayed, my question is how I can know which sensor is bad and how many speed/ABS sensors are? (The dealer said 4 but the KJs have 3)
And last question is: are this sensors hard to replace?
Thanks in advance

06 and 07 KJs have 4. The older ones have 3.

Go from easy to hard first!
Check the fuze.
Check that the sensors are plugged in!
Look to see if the tone rings are covered in crud, mud, or other. (I once got hot tar picked up by my tires and flung everywhere on my Explorer)

If none of those yield any results and you can't visually see which sensor is toast, then you should get one and play the troubleshooting game of putting the new one at each position until the lights go back out.

Q1 as Phil + Neela said, replace one and move on. It could also be a bad wire...
I've run into that a few times.
Q2 08+ have 4 speed sensors, One at each wheel, coming out of the back.
Not to be confused with the tire pressure transceivers in the area of the wheel well (only 3 located in the left front, right front and left rear wheel wells).
Q3 Not terribly difficult to change as long as it didn't damage the tone ring. 1 plug 1 bolt on the rear. Once you get the caliper adapter off the fronts, again 1 plug 1 bolt.

Thanks for your help!!!
Did someone knows any OBD scanner that can read ABS codes so with that I can target the wrong sensor. I've read somewhere over the Internet that those bluetooth scanners that works with the TorquePro can't read ABS codes.
Thanks

The Bluetooth scanners can read any codes in any module, however it requires the scanner to have some advance settings changed as the default is to only look at the pcm. Assuming it's based on elm327, you'd need to send AT SH 784 then AT CM 000. Those commands set the transmit address to 784, which is the ABS module address, then set the mask to 000 so it will listen for all responses. Once that's done, you'd need to send 1800FF00 which it's the command to read DTCs.

Thanks for your help!! Do you know where can I find more info about how to change the settings of the scanner like you told me?

You will need an app that can send the raw commands, I don't think torque has a built in one. I've been toying around with the idea of making a plugin that will read the ABS codes.

No problem!!
The only thing is that I couldn't find any device to read ABS codes, so I had to do the process manually looking each sensor...
