is this a differential leak? I got under the rear today and diff to rear bumper was covered in oil. Has anyone else had to repair the rear diff?

That seems like a strange place for a leak. Is the diff breather hose disconnected? (I can see it above the axle on the drivers side but not the point of connection.) I also wonder from the spatter pattern if the oil is something you drove through rather than coming from your Jeep. You're sure there is no oil leak forward of this location (trans, engine etc.) that is spattering backwards as you drive?

How does it smell? If it doesn't smell bad, it's probably not gear oil.

Its a pinion seal leak. My 09 has been doing the same thing for a year. Replaced the original seal twice now and it still leaks, just not as bad now. The yoke surface is nice and smooth, no grooves, so shouldnt leak. I bought a speedysleeve to go over the yoke surface to try to fix it. A new yoke is $130, sleeve was $27. No idea why it leaks, bearings are tight, no slop, nothing looks damaged. Im going to put the sleeve on when I put my locker in, hoping that fixes it.
