As the title say I'm looking to find out what everyone typically idles at while in stopped traffic or a red light? Mine sits right around 700.

I'm asking because I sit in traffic for 2hrs each way to and from work. AND ITS ONLY 28 MILES!!! anyway. It is near impossible to go from idle coast to acceleration without jolting forward (rpms jump from around 700 up to 1200). I think this might be due to the Hypertech tune in that it might be increasing the ratio between gas pedal and actual acceleration. meaning I push the pedal to 10% and I get 20% open throttle(just a guess). It seems like if I could increase my idle to 1k this would keep me from jolting so much in traffic.....

Any thoughts? :dizzy: :juggle: :banghead:

If you remove the tune does it still happen?
Unless Hypertech has a way to adjust the idol, your stuck with it.

I sit around 800rpm i believe. if there's any bit of an incline it will not roll forward without pressing the gas. Any more than a bit of an incline and I'm rolling backwards before pressing the gas and its an automatic... my old '02 chevy s10 would crawl up hills so this was a big change for me. i assume its because of the added body weight on the KK.

Sounds like you just need a plain old throttle controller.

ill go back to stock and find out. however that throttle controller seems kinda interesting.... Right now Mine is exactly the same as TMANs but at around 500. A new symptom though it I throttle just right the gears grind a bit before catching. :banghead: Oh and I threw a p2110......maybe the 4.7tb there....fu*k This thing is paid off but how much can I dump into it.

p2110 = Throttle actuator control (TAC) system - forced limited rpm mode. Possible causes; Wiring, TAC motor, APP sensor, ECM
Time to pull the 4.7 TB off there.
Manually check the butterfly valve for smooth operation from full closed to full open.
It may be getting stuck and/or may have a broken motor/actuator tooth.
If it is moving OK, give the TB a good cleaning and try it again. Cleaning may also fix the jump in RPM your having.
