2010 KK Renegade with a 1.5 OME lift. Had the lift for 2 years before installing larger tires, and put on a set of LT245/75R16 (108) Duratracs about two months ago. Since the tires were installed, traction control engages more frequently, the engine control computer failed (and was replaced under warranty), and I'm losing power on steep climbs when fully loaded (climbing in 2WD, gear "2").

Are the tires too heavy? Need to get re-geared? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I'm running 245-70R17 (comparable to the 245/75R16 as far as size goes)on my rig with out any issues. Had them on for several years now. But I am also driving a manual trany and 3.21.

For my issue with the traction control (ABS) kicking on in a bumpy 25 Mph turn, after the lift install, a dealer SAS re-calibration fixed it. I will say he appeared to be pretty aggressive when he was driving in circles when doing the calibration. Maybe that was the key for my rig...
