| Post subject: | Power steering AND A/C went out simultaneously? |
Any Ideas what could he the culprit? The Power steering and A/C in my 2008 liberty nust went out when I started her up. She was running fine before we went in the store for 30 minutes. Any idea where to start trouble shooting? 96k miles on Odometer, with almost no problems. |

Belt broke, super happy it happened in a parking lot and not on the highway with my kids in the car. |

Yup, I was going to suggest the serpentine belt. Glad you were parked too. You should be able to get one from an auto parts store and install it yourself in the parking lot if the Jeep is still sitting there. Don't try to drive, because your alternator won't charge the battery and you won't get far. |

Yeah, fortunately/unfortunately (guiltily) I knew it was getting bad so I uad tue serpentine belt and tensioner in my garage... So I had everything. It was a bit of a pain, forearms to short and too wide to manuver the belt on easilym. It took me about an hour and a half to get it on. Make sure you pull out the air filter hpusing to give you some extra space. |
