randomly will not make any sound when ignition put in startup position. All dash lights on, everything else works fine, just nothing when putting in startup. No click, nothing. If I keep trying later, eventually it starts up and runs fine, then at any given point int the future, it wont startup again.
I'm taking it to mechanic tomorrow, but just wondering if anyone has ideas. I've already had to install a new TIPM and an ABs module to the tune of $1000 each in the past year. Only 65000 miles on this 2011. I'm thinking about repairing and and getting rid of it. Too expensive to keep up. Thoughts?

Could be the shift interlock system.
When it won't start while in park, try pushing the shift handle forward harder.
If that does not work, put your foot on the brake, shift to neutral, with foot still on the brake try to start it.

Mechanic couldn't duplicate the non start. I traded it in today on a GMC Canyon. Goodby Jeep. Too many problems.
