I have a set of 245/75r16 duratracs and looking to get a set of 16x7 steelies for them. I have a 2012 KK limited with a 2.5 in lift and I was wondering if I can run 4 in backspacing wheels in 16x7 with the lowest possible chances of rubbing. I cannot really find too much on it, I just see a lot of people run soft 8s but nothing on if they rub or not. Any help is greatly appreciated! |

I have that tire size on my stock 16x7 rims. I believe the stock rims have a backspacing of 5 inches, but you said your steelies have a 4 inch backspacing. So that would make them stick out more (wider stance?). In that case I am not sure whether or not they would rub. Normally a 245/75r16 would not rub with a 2.5 inch lift. Yours might rub a little if it does at all, because of the wider steering arc. Pounding over the pinch weld and trimming some plastic wheel liners would probably take care of it. |

I run my factory wheels with that size Terra Grapplers with 1” spacers. Occasionally rubs going through a drop off diagonally. |

A lot will depend on what lift you have, full spring lift then yes they should work depending on tread design and type of tire . If spacer lift its a toss up if you have the room or not |
