I am wanting to install a auto dimming mirror into my 2008 jeep liberty sport. What would be a good source of switched power. I was thinking about going to front dome light. Would this work or is there another better option. I plan on picking up a mirror tomorrow at the salvage yard.

Run a new wire from a switched source in the fuse box. I tried the sunroof wires and it drained my battery.
