I don’t know why but almost all of the remanufactured cv shafts from the typical auto parts stores are too short. NAPA remanufactured seems to be a good one and has come highly recommended on the forums. Replace the intermediate shaft at the same time if the splines look worn out or damaged.
A few years ago when I needed a new right side cv and intermediate shaft, NAPA didn’t have any remans in stock. As an alternative I located a low mileage junkyard KK on
http://www.car-part.com and got the right side cv and intermediate shaft sent to me for $70. The particular KK I sourced it from had been rear ended and totaled but the front end was fine. That was 80,000 miles ago and it is still going strong.
