The time has come! My daystar lift leaves a bit to be desired when it comes to offroad performance. So ive decided to go with the econo lift...or at least that's my thoughts. Im a little concerned of traveling down a road of more and more upgrades. Recently read about needing the adjustable track bar, and longer rear brake lines, extended sway bar links as well to run this lift? Currently in my basket I have: JBA 4" rear springs JBA upper control arms JBA 4" rear bumpstop Bilstein 4" rear shock and install kit OME 927 front springs OME front strut Strut spacer Clevis spacer Ill be buying new strut mounts and isolators as well. is this going to be my best option? Do I need the other stuff? |

I have a JBA 4” lift that uses the same rear springs. You don’t need the extras necessarily, although they are nice and improve the ride. The track bar will center your axle left to right. Without it, lifting 4” will move the centerline of the rear axle about 1/2”-1” to the drivers side, which sometimes leads to contact between the driveshaft and gas tank holder/skid plate in certain off camber situations. For normal driving and normal off-road trails it should not be an issue. The stock sway bar links will prevent your rear axle from dropping to the point where it would stress your brake lines. Longer sway bar links will allow more travel, leading to a better ride (feels less bouncy/rough over bumps in the rear) and better off road performance. If you lengthen the travel with longer links, you will need to extend the brake lines. So no, none of these would be required, but they do make it better. You could also add them later if you think you need them. |

Ok that doesnt sound as bad. I was kind of under the impression I was going to have to buy it all and it was kind of snowballing in price. I dont mind doing upgrades later on. I have read a couple horror stories about this lift...has me a little apprehensive to spend all this money to have issues. Does anyone know how much the stock endlinks are extended? |

With what you have listed you'll be much higher in the rear than the front Plus if lift more you'll have spring/upper control arm contact on every bump in the road If you think you need 4 inches of lift get the JBA coilovers in front If not go 3-3.25 inches plus 4 inches you'll be more tempted to try and run larger tires therefore needing to regear Don't need the 4 inch bumpstops either use 2per side hockey pucks, much better |

Tom, is there a way to keep the rear down to 3-3.25 inches to match the front? Like maybe OME springs with some extra isolators instead of the 4” JBA springs? |

I was under the impression that they used the 4" jba springs for the econo lift. I thought things have changed with what was included in the econo lift. I want what will give me the least issues(of the econo/ome lift) So impart you knowledge haha. |

Sure just buy the OME kit with front shocks and make sure rear shocks are the 132Ls Then add a 1/4 inch top plate in front for a 3 inch lift rear add one extra upper iso per side level front to rear NOW you can add some clevis to the front But like I stated many times you get to 3.25-3.5 inches in front you can and will have some upper contact between the spring and UCA, no matter if you have the JBA arms or not, some hit more than others Oh and of course proper bumpstops |

Going to go that route. Not going to bother with the clevis spacer if its going to cause noises. Im going to get the upper arms because I guess its a good thing to get. In the future maybe ill look at other things like sway bar links and such. So....OME 927 fronts OME 731 rears/132L shocks 1/4 top plate I already have Terraflex bumpstops and pucks in the rear. Running 245/70/17 Duratracs. 98% of my offroading is driving up logging roads, so just need something that will ride a bit nicer, as the Daystar can get a bit squirrelly on washboard. |

I guess it would be a good time to buy and install some lower ball joints while im at it? |
