Post subject:  Another Tire/Wheel Question

Hi all,

Currently stock with my KK's jet rims and the tires are ready to be changed. So I figured I would change the wheels while I'm at it.

Looking at the Mamba MRX1 16x8 and from what I can see there should be no issues with offset, size, etc. I've read on here that people were able to accommodate 245/70r16's with no rub, does anyone has experience with this size or should I look something smaller? I'll be eventually installing a lift kit but at the moment I want to stay close to stock overall wheel size.

First time doing this so would appreciate any advice, thanks in advance!

That tire size is fine even without a lift. It’s generally known that the Jet build cannot fit 16” rims due to their larger front brakes. 17” will fit with room to spare.

If you run an 8 inch wide wheel keep it at 5 inches of backspacing
PLUS no matter what 245-70s are too narrow for my tastes on an 8 inch wide wheel
need at least 8 inches of tread width to look right
unless you have one of those little cars from across the pond

What size would you suggest? Taking me forever to find a set of wheels that I like. What is everyone's opinions on spacers/adapters? I see a ton of mixed reviews, I assume it all depends on the manufacture.

IF, 16 X 8 with 5 inches of backspacing 265-70-16s work well when lifted
