| Post subject: | EFS lift... |
Hi guys. Long time since i've posted. Had a KJ, then a JK, then a WK and now back to a KK. I just installed an EFS Lift kit in the KK and it's awesome. The lift is 4 extended shocks and longer coils. Ride quality fantastic as with all EFS kits. I went with the EFS since the kit is basically half the price here than the OME kit. I also know EFS well as i've had it on my Suzuki Jimny and was extremely happy with them. http://efsstore.com.au/KK-Cherokee.html So after the kit was installed, I got 40mm/1.5" in the front and 50mm/2" in the rear after the lift. I did not mind the factory rake . I like that I can load it a bit without having the nose pointed skyward. However the lift now exaggerates this by 10mm on top of factory rake. It's not too bad but it's noticeable to me and I've got a bit of OCD. Would I be able to put a 10mm/ 1/2" strut plate/spacer on there to level it out a bit in front? Is that a big job to do? |

The front drive shafts might have a big angle on them that might increase wear on the CV joints, my front looks like its sagged about an 1" so I am looking at a 1" lift so the drive shaft angle is not to steep, John |

I'll take a picture a bit later but the angles are really not bad at all. In fact it's relatively straight. I need an extra 10-15mm of lift in the front and i was wondering if I can do it with the plate from JBA perhaps. https://jeepinbyal.com/liberty-2008-201 ... e-set.html Would that work? |

From your description of the angles I see no issue with installing strut plates. The only concern is that the upper control arms may contact the springs when they’re unloaded. Then you’ll need JBA UCAs which is more $$ and a lot more work. Your positive experience with EFS might indicate why the brand is reasonably popular down under. |

I'll have a look at the control arms and springs so as to make sure I'll give it another 200km or so to make sure everything has settled and then check for options. Currently leaning towards the JBA. Yup had EFS on my Suzuki Jimny and they were also amazing in that. Good value for money as well. I wanted to go OME but at double the price i could not justify it if I can get a full coil and shock kit anyway. |

Hey Tom So what do you suggest I get to level it out? I'm happy with the rear. I'm sitting at 735mm at the rear and 695mm at the front. Any links perhaps to the correct parts? https://jeepinbyal.com/clevis-spacer-fo ... truts.html I am not familiar with the clevis lift. Do I add this in addition to the Top Plate https://jeepinbyal.com/liberty-2008-201 ... e-set.html Or do I do the top plate and then a clevis? I want a combined lift of about 1.25" in front to level it out if possible. Thanks in advance. |

Top plate will give 1/2 inch of lift, 3/8 inch clevis will give you 3/4 inch of lift so combined 1.25 inches of lift |

The EFS was kind enough to let me swap out the Medium coils for the Heavy Duty in front ones free of charge and that has now all but leveled it. I'm 7mm lower in the front than the rear. So for me thats actually perfect. If it sags eventually - doubt it will with the Heavy Duty coils, then I'll put in a top plate to level it out but currently very happy with it.
