Hi all, I'm finding a small puddle under the jeep in the driveway. After inspection it appears to be coolant but I'm unable to find the source... coolant appears to be collecting under the waterpump, the main drive pulley, and the front cover of the engine. I havent found any leaky hoses and I do not believe it's an issue that only appears under pressure has the jeep has sat for a few days without running. Hoping to find someone who had a similar problem or any ideas on what to check. I'm thinking it's some component involved with or near the serpentine belt.

Thank you.Image

Replace the water pump. Known issue on 3.7's. Look closely at the weep hole and it will be wet.

X2. I can see a drop of coolant hanging off the belt around your crankshaft pulley, just below the water pump.

I pulled the water pump and did see that it had a wet spot on one side. Removed it and looked at the gasket. It appears that a small piece of the engine block is attached to the gasket and theres a small pit in the mating surface for the gasket. My plan is to add a small amount of RTV to the pit before installing the new pump. Also I have the HD mechanical fan on order. Since it's already tore apart might as well do an upgrade [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]ImageImage

update: waterpump, thermostat, radiator cap have all been replaced and all is well with the cooling system. after a flush i used Zerex to be safe... wasnt happy about the price tag though.. added the HD cooling fan and now the jeep is running around 192-193. pretty happy.

Thank you all for your help. This forum has single handedly given me the courage to tackle the problems on this jeep again and again. I've learned so much from you all.
