I have a 2012 Jeep Liberty, I am putting a 2.5" lift on it and would like new wheel and tires. I found Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JL alloys with BF Goodrich 285 70 r17. I am currently running a 18" wheel with 5x4.5 bolt pattern 235 60r18. Will these Wrangler wheels fit on my Liberty? |

Unfortunately not. The JK & JL wheels have a different bolt pattern so you’d need to buy Spidertrax spacer adapters. That will push the wheels outwards and it would be more likely to rub on turns. I looked up 285/70R17 and that is a 33” diameter tire. You would need 4.5”+ of lift for those not to rub and you’d need to regear your differentials to 4.56 or 4.88 to retain any power or gas mileage. You’d do better with a 30-31” tire with your lift height (you might still need to bend over the punch welds) and stock rims. You’ll still take a hit on power and gas mileage but it is livable without regearing. If regearing, 4.10 is a good ratio for 31’s. |

I agree with lfhoward. It depends also on the type of lift. Some advertise 2.5" but the actual lift is less than that. |
