Any scanners/tuners that allow you to input a different diff ratio? My thought is maybe it can be used to correct a tyre size increase. If you input the same percentage difference as the tyre size increase, IE. a taller diff ratio, lower numerically, then the computer would have the tyres spinning at the expected speed. Would correct the speedo at the same time too. I think that is where perhaps a lot of the ESP etc issues are coming from that the wheel speed is slower than expected.
Going from say a stock 235/65R17 to 245/70R17 is about 5% increase. Having a stock 3.73 diff and inputting 3.55 would also be a 5% difference and match the slower wheel speed.
Just a thought and welcome any feedback.
