Is there a performance chip reader programmer that I can get for my 2012 Jeep Liberty?

I recently put a lift and 31" tires on my Liberty, but my fuel economy has increased like 50%. I have been looking for a chip to reprogram tire size, but can only find ones that work on Wranglers.

I don't really want to purchase one for wranglers only to have it not work.

Thanks

There is no chip to reprogram tire size.
For that you will need to find someone with one of the factory tools such as DRBIII or Starscan.

As if it isnt hard enough to find tuners for the Liberty, 2011 and 2012 have a different encryption for the computer. HP tuners claims to work with 2011 and 2012, but have yet to hear anyone use it. Best bet to get economy back would be to regear. At 31" tires, 4.11 is your best gear range.

There also seems to be an upper limit as to what you can put in the computer for tire size. There is an app for android called ParScan Beta, that allows you to enter new tire sizes, along with a few other useful changes (DRL, TPMS limits, Module Error codes), but above a certain size the ABS module crashes and disables ABS and Traction Control.

I've tried changing the tire size with both Parscan and HP Tuners, and both have the same result. Not sure if the dealer tools will be able to adjust it without issues, but I've heard that the ABS computer does not have the necessary info for tires over approx 30 inches or so

Just had mine done at the dealer for 29.65" which is the 245/50R20 size on the JET editions.

Regear is necessary if you tow :JEEPIN:
It made a WORLD of difference for me. Even after having the tire size calibrated. Mine still ran like crap but the speedo was correct :|
4.10 and a Detroit Trutrac is a sweet setup.
