Considering installing the daystar hood vents on the liberty. CJPonyPart.com has the set for $70.

Should help a lot with under hood temps as I've had a few time that the jeep wont start after a long hard run.

Anyone install hood vents on there liberty? How does the 3.7 handle a little extra water?

Done hood vents on KJs on mine and some other KJ owners
main thing you have to watch out for is placement since wrong area can result in water logged spark plugs
Buddy found out the hard way
But I always used Pontiac GTP hood louvers placed more off to the side of the plug area , worked great

I asked if they would work and if anyone has had issues with water with any type of louver/vent. I appreciate your input on the placement of them more to the sides, but I didn't ask if you liked them.

It appears that they will work, so if i do decide to do it I'm going the Daystar route. Will update this post if I do.

I'm not a fan of the sheet metal style louvers with exposed hardware. I think they look cheap and ugly.

thanks again

I have done them and it was time consuming but makes you stand out. you can clearly see the heat coming out in the summer.

Older pic but one of my vents. They sit over the space between the engine and the wheel well. So i don’t get water puddling on the engine.
