So I found out I have 2 problems.. My radiator is leaking so I need a replacement. Is Mopar the best, or atleast worth the cost? Next up I found my trans cooler is leaking. I see many aftermarket units that are about half the price of the Mopar unit. Has anyone had any luck with a aftermarket unit? Is there any source for a how to for replacing the condenser? |

Can't go wrong with OEM radiator. The one from Napa is a decent choice also. |

I had to replace my transmission cooler/condenser a year or so ago. I don’t remember which one I used but more importantly, you’ll lose some transmission fluid and all of your refrigerant when you pull it. I noticed my transmission fluid was extremely burnt. I replaced my filter and needed six quarts of mopar fluid. Use mopar fluid. I used castrol the next time and my transmission acted strange. Just did it again using mopar fluid and all is good. An auxiliary transmission cooler is also a good idea as these things seem to run pretty hot, especially if you tow with it. ![]() |
